Spring....Summer...Fall.....Winter!

dd

We're getting there!

We're getting closer and closer to winter!  I know, I'm very excited unlike some people who hate winter...well, because we live in California and it doesn't really snow here.  So get the best of the weather.  Cold but not extremely.  And so we still don't need to don on those jackets that weigh a ton in order to go around.

It's really exciting, I can't wait to bring out the winter clothes, and oh the boots!  I think I'm going over them this weekend.

My hubby is doing the same thing.  But I'm pretty sure about what he's going to bring out first...his Dakine Snow Gloves  and his Dakine Beanies that will be on the foyer like a bunch of little kids waiting for the ice cream truck. It's not even snowboard season, but in my experience, trust me, the gear is by the foyer ready for any impromptu trip up to Tahoe.

I think I'm thinking too much ahead, but I can't help but anticipate the coming winter.  I always like reading a book by the fireplace anyway, and strutting in the city in my new boots.

Meanwhile, I'm going to focus on my projects -- especially the art-related ones.  My friend just got me into Origami...and I'm also working on a book illustration project.  Aside from that, I'm going to art classes in October and finally hook up with the local art gallery.

Time flies fast.  But life is good.

It's official!

I'm hooked. I'm an official #iger ...

I don't have the photographic eye. I never had.
I don't own a DSLR. Perhaps I never will.

I'm loving this very simple jouney.
Nothing big and bulky. Nor complicated and scary.

iPhoneography.....and Me.

Speechless....still

Still doing something non-verbal at home as words continue to be squeezed off me at work. As of June 3rd, I've been officially tasked to facilitate most corporate communications by our COO (something I'm very thankful for), aside from my usual job responsibilities. The trust means a lot!

At home, I just continue to express myself with my hands for now, playing my favorites. Badarzewski and Drumheller.

Next....Mozart. It's ironic, but the sound silences my mind.

I'll blog more soonest...

"Cirque"

>
> Re-establishing equilibrium after our CEO assigned a special project to me lately (a writing task which is challenging but fun) and I always end up finding myself so mentally exhausted at the end of the day now -- accomplishing it, while juggling the rest of my responsibilities at work. Here's something non-verbal that I came up with when I got home, just to balance my day. I'm calling it "Cirque"...

Non-verbals to compensate for my word-laden job

Blues-busting

It's incredible how my "own" kite story when I was a kid (which only my old bestfriend knows) can still be a strong driving force in my life now.
In my art,
my heart....
In everything that I do.

When I'm ready to share my kite story, you will be one of the first to know. All I can say for now is that it makes me rise through adversities and overcome challenges by just remembering my kite story.

A big example of this is really working hard toward my goals in the art world. I'm happy because my friend is pushing my artwork for this big coffee retailer.  I can't wait.  For now though, I'm content because I am able to sell my art merchandise online like mugs and t-shirts and other stuff.

My next target, hopefully come August, is the launching of my official website.  And really working the deal with the local art association.

I can't wait. That will be the major blues-buster!

This pesky lil muse! But thanks, hon!

[05.22.11] I had a field day being "home alone" for a few hours. My muse had been bugging me with this inside my head since this morning at church! LOL (Bending wires is one of my favorite things *sick*) Tee hee!

For my Mom

Made this for my Mother's Day card for my mom.

Inside, it says:
A little labor of love,
for my Epitome of Love... you!

There's something special about hummingbirds for us because I had a mommy hummigbird lay two eggs in our backyard while mom and dad were on vacation with us last year. They were able to see them hatch and grow until they were ready to leave the nest... (Mailing it today, hope it makes it on time)
